Riverview (2-4) gave up 61 points in a loss to SMCC last week while Milan (6-0) continued it’s undefeated season by pummeling Flat Rock 42-10. The Pirates won last year 35-14.
Once again last week Riverview showed that they are capable of scoring but the Pirates are giving up a whopping 40 ppg.
Milan boast the best offense in the league and the best defense. That usually is not a good combination for opponents.
This game should be over early Both teams are headed in opposite directions. Pick: Milan 31 Riverview 14
The airport voters won't show up like the CC voters did.

Very nicely said. I keep telling my son that it is going to be that team you think you can beat easily that is going to bite you in the butt. I know the boys will be working very hard tonight. I also know they will be rooting for Huron to win. Go Big Reds! Go Chiefs!
I know some folks were thinking that Milan might have a letdown after the big win at Navarre Field, that Flat Rock may loom as a trap game on the schedule. While that could have been true earlier in the season, the timing wasn't good for the Rams, as Milan was playing for win #6 and a playoff berth. Flat Rock is an improved program, to be sure (great student section, btw), but Milan had too much overall talent and ample motivation.
The game versus Riverview could be considered a potential trap game as well (Riverview's O vs. Milan's D should be an entertaining battle of speed vs. speed), but tonight is the last Homecoming Game for the senior class. This should serve as plenty of motivation, but we shall see.
For the poster who claimed that Jefferson draws better than Milan, I invite them to come on up tonight and see what I expect to be a huge homecoming crowd. I know it was before the students were back in class, but Milan almost outdrew Jefferson at their matchup this season–in Jefferson. (Full disclosure: the mosquitos outdrew both side's fanbases by far!)
Going back to my main point, tonight may be tougher than expected. Hoskins faces another test to see if he can continue to keep his kids motivated after meeting a big goal for the program. These are kids, after all, and the favored team doesn't always win in HS Football. Should Milan win as most would predict, it's another clear sign for this community that this coaching staff has the program in capable hands.
Milan 56 riv 14
Riverview shows that they can play and put point on the board, but their defense lacks BIG TIME, Milan has played pretty soundly all season on both sides of the ball, now this being Homecoming means even more to the Big Red boys, they'll be fired up and ready to go. Milan wins big at home for homecoming.
Milan: 42 -vs- Riverview: 17
