2012 All Huron League Offense

Here is one man’s view on the All Huron League Team. I did take into consideration the entire football season. Also, I only list players one way. If someone didn’t make offense, they made have made the defensive team.

RB Arthur Dukes III, Milan
FB Josh Czarniowski, SMCC
SE Scott McCormick, Airport
TE Dakotah Dockter, Flat Rock
OL Seth Kirchner, Jefferson
OL Bruce Elliott, Milan
C    Matt Neuvirth, Milan
OL Blaise Eby, SMCC
OL Ramone Stewart, Grosse Ile
K   Matt Bacon, Riverview

Offensive Player of the Year: Arthur Dukes III, Milan

Honorable Mention: Andrew Mitroka (GI), Mike Blosser (FR), Steve Curnett (H), Marcus Samuels (R), Demarcus Bunn (H), Dan McCarty (GI), Jeremy Richards (M), Garrett Renckeweicz (A), Phil Camilleri (GI), John Logan (R), Jeremy Frayer (H), Drew Antonelli (SMCC), Austin Hoover (M)

  1. Who cares about a "solid, solid year for the huron league champions"? GIs center was all detroit metro west first team…clearly one of the best players in the league but mentioned NOWHERE. Same with brian christen…GIs best player gets not even a glance.

  2. I agree with the Christen comments. Kids a work horse, I love the attitude. IN MY OPINION, would rather have Christen than Dukes at RB.

  3. Well said Chris 1:18. Picks are VERY good. Difficult not having Christen first team somewhere. He was GI's engine this year. Amazing power tenacity and grit.

  4. Receiving yards are big, but how about a kid who also blocks well, demands a double team and plays every down both ways? That is what I thought!

As for Aceves, I thought they were a better team with him at QB. He was a threat to run and obviously to throw. All Region team has nothing to do with all league. Two completely different things plus I'm not trying to sell papers.

  5. How does Justin Aceves get your pick as qb when he wasn't on the all region team. If anything you should have chose the other milan qb? He was selected on the all region team as a junior

  6. I'm assuming somebody from Grosse Ile or Milan had more receiving yards than McCormick. Sure he is one heck of an athlete but shouldn't be 1st team. If he really is 1st team for receiving where's the QB that threw him the ball? Not even honorable mention.

  7. Agreed the picks are firm.
Brian Christian from GI was tough to omit..he and Jordan were a great 1-2 punch.

We'll probably see him on the D side.
