RIV will go 7-2 make playoffs and fall in first round. Baker & new guy would bring same result ….. Issue is not , has never been the offense. Just can't play D against good teams.
A 7 point win may be a beatdown…. when its 7-0. CC GAVE UP 49 POINTS!!!! Giving up 49 POINTS is NOT a beatdown, no matter how much you try to convince yourself. It is nothing but a pathetic defensive effort, and almost as bad as Riverview giving up 56. Any coach, player or fan that knows anything at all about football would never gloat about giving up 49 POINTS.
No idea what game you watched but CC DID NOT dominate. Can hardly believe you are saying that. It was a great game for both teams on O. Who cares how many plays it takes?
Yes, beatings were given by CC in my opinion. Looked as if CC dominated the trenches, and ran the ball down the throat of Riverview's defense, more like a sive.. I woud bet that cc averaged 8 yards a carry or more in this game and View would be lucky to have maybe 4-5.
when view runs the ball in the few minutes left in the game and are stuffed everytime, I would come to a conclusion that the defensive line of cc dominated view's o-line
then to turn and give the ball to cc's offense and they would score in only a handful of plays.. yes i consider that domination.
Like I said, the score board portrayed a much closer game than it actually was.
They fired Baker after FR walked all over them last year, too and that won't be happening for awhile. That was one of the best blowouts I think I've seen in awhile.
GI played with heart. Well done to Derek Judd who has stepped in as QB and also made an interception on D. Congrats to all the men who had to play the entire game both ways. You never quit.
All I can say is Hmmmm regarding the Huron QB not running the right play twice. Coming out of the timeout with 10 seconds on the clock, ball on 3, and the QB runs te wrong play? Gotta have better communication from coaching staff. I wonder what the right play was because it had to be a pass (considering the clock and no timeouts) yet no receivers were running routes? As for the interception at the end of te game, sometimes you can't put a young QB in a position to make a bad decision. Huron played well though and the offense kept humming. Game wasn't as close as the score considering the failure at half and the turnover led resulted in a 3 yard TD drive for the Jets.
The view and cc game has a misleading score.. The score board read a much closer game than it actually was. CC absolutley dominated, and I mean absolutley. I saw a lot of beatings CC were giving, and very little retaliation by riverview.
I would say on average it took CC maybe 3-4 plays to score on their possesions, where riverview took, I would guess, about 8-12 plays to score.
Samuels played the best game of his career tonight, I would guesstimate he ran for around 150 yards and I think 3 or 4 TDs, kid's an absolute monster when he's on.
Credit to CC's backs though, they have some speedy guys, looking forward to seeing them next year since the majority of them aren't seniors.
Besides the game, I was sitting on riverview's side, and I didn't see a problem with the playcalling, but one of the parents yelled out, "Bring back Baker!",the OC that Stergalas fired. and that seemed to offend some of the staff since a good portion of the sideline looked back.. anyway just an off topic comment that someone might find interesting
Views defense didn't do good tonight when their leading tackler is the free safety it can't be good but it was a high scoring close game all the way till the end.
Ok thanks for clearing that up. The McCormick INT on 3rd and 2 looked doomed from the start. I figured it would be a QB draw or Robinson up the middle since it worked most of the night. If Airport went down and eventually won the game i'm sure some of these Huron fans would be calling for the coaches head. EM
I think Huron will be better next year, as most of their skill people are underclassmen & they have some good young people on the line. Also have a 5&2 JV team that will probably end up 7 & 2
Good game tonight in New Boston, Huron has some real speedsters in the backfield. Although Huron almost gave it away with a couple bad play calls. Why did they call a personal foul on Airport's last drive? I missed it. EM
We didn't run it up. It was 41 nothing at half. All starters sit out the second half. Final score was 48 to 14. We ran the ball up the middle every play in the second half.
Did you see the receivers open in the end zone? Even the band coach knows you throw the ball there. The kid screwed up and coach let him have it. Watch the whole picture smart guy, you might learn something.

They Fired baker simply for Not having motivation anymore. Not for losing to FR. That's absurd, this isn't the NFL.
49 points is seven touchdowns. Hardly domination.

No more streak talk, maybe in another 15 years, but not likely!
"I saw a lot of beatings CC were giving, and very little retaliation by riverview"
Yeah, a real beat down by CC. Only gave up 49 points. Thats nothin. smh
Go Big Reds! Nice to see a homecoming win 🙂

Think Pink

CC did not dominate. I watched the film, the game was back and forth. Riverview played well. So did CC.

Hmmm no receiver in routes on the play before the half…..both TE were WIDE open in the end zone

you can't really focus on view's defense, CC's great defense that gave up 21 to milan riverview had that at half.
600? Are you serious? try 1000

How many Rushing yards total did both smcc and the view have combined? I'm thinking at least 600
I'm gussing 800+, CC started every drive from the 20 because View's kicker was very impressive! Almost every kick off was a touchback!
" Btw I hate to break it to ya but you won't finish 5-4 cause your losing friday to the team you always lose to."
Where's this cupcake at? LOL
CC and Riverview… whew thats a high score game; did either defense show up tonight? lol
Good to see FR get 2 TDs on the board. Was this with 1st team or 2nd/3rd team in?
Congrats to Grosse Ile. You don't always need your best to win, you just gotta play and give it your all. Good job boys, way to keep it goin.
KC
How are you about to say Milan ran up the score when river view won 71-0. Milan is a much better team than riverview
the personal foul was called on Airport because one of the players from Airport hit a Huron kid as he tryed to get up well after the play was over.
The two so called bad plays were not called Kobby, on both occations the QB did not run the play called by the coaching staff

That wasn't a bad call at the end of the half for Huron, the quarterback ran the wrong play.
Good game tonight in New Boston, Huron has some real speedsters in the backfield. Although Huron almost gave it away with a couple bad play calls. Why did they call a personal foul on Airport's last drive? I missed it. EM
Milan 48 Flat Rock 14 Final
Milan running it up again.

Huron 21 Airport 7 in Third Quarter
41-0 Milan halftime
41-0 Milan at the half
