FNV Week 6 Player of the Week Nominees

Here are the nominees for the Michigan High School Football Week 6 games for teams covered by Friday Night Victors. Please vote @FNVictors on Twitter.

Owen Sampson, RB, Ida. Sampson has made multiple appearances on these posts with his performances, but the senior took things to another level on Friday. He rushed for 223 yards and four touchdowns on 22 carries, and also caught an 88-yard touchdown pass for a five-touchdown night as the Blue Streaks defeated Hillsdale 36-17.

Adam Goins, RB/WR/KR, Airport. Goins was the difference for the Jets in a 49-28 win over Jefferson. The junior rushed for 61 yards and a touchdown, caught three passes for 77 yards and a score, and also had a 90-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Carson Irwin, QB, Dundee. Irwin had a big night in Dundee’s homecoming game. The senior passed for 143 yards, and rushed for 101 yards and four touchdowns as the Vikings blanked Columbia Central 43-0.

Preston Thompson, QB/DB, Riverview. Thompson had a big night in a huge Huron league game which saw the Pirates defeat Milan 42-29. The athletic senior had 10 carries for 85 yards and 2 TD’s, was 3-4 100 yards and a TD. He also converted twice on 2 two-point rushing conversions and threw for another.
