Monroe Jefferson Bears 2020 Preview

2000’s = 58-38

2010’s = 23-68

The Bears of Jefferson took a step forward last year, going 3-6 in Coach Gene Gennoe’s 3rd season. 2019 saw Jefferson notch their first victory since beating Owosso back in 2016. Assistant coaches will be Nate Mills, Jason Tipton and Nick Hemwall.

Coaches’ Comments: “Hoping to keep building on last year and to be competitive every week.  We have a lot of guys returning that have game experience.  This is a great group of seniors. Same as usual – the Huron League is really tough.  Every game is a dog fight. The kids are really working hard and want to play so badly this year.  We had a great turn-out this summer.”

FNV Outlook: As Coach Gennoe said above, the Bears have a lot of players back with game experience. Jefferson has plenty of play-makers to continue the momentum from last year and possibly come away with a winning record. The Bear Faithful could have plenty to cheer about in 2020.
