Cole Jondro, RB, SMCC: The Falcons turned to their sophomore star, and he delivered with 231 rushing yards and four touchdowns in a 49-34 win over Detroit Southeastern to lock up the #2 seed in their district.
Jacob Lewis, RB, Ida: Lewis turned in a monster performance when needed most, as he rushed for 224 yards and three touchdowns in the Blue Streaks 43-6 win over Columbia Central. The win helped Ida grab a home playoff date with Dearborn Advanced Tech.
Isaac Smith, WR, Huron: Smith put an exclamation point on an incredible regular season with 148 yards from scrimmage, and three total touchdowns as the Chiefs dismantled Dearborn Heights Crestwood 34-0. The Chiefs get a home date with Southgate Anderson as a result.
Nolan Vanover, WR, Jefferson: Vanover has been a bright spot for the Bears in a tough season. He recorded 145 all-purpose yards and scored three different ways (punt return, receiving, rushing) as Jefferson got off the schneid with a 34-0 win over Detroit Pershing. “Da Bears” will get a rematch of their season opener with Grosse Ile in the first round.
Also considered: Noah Beaudrie, QB, Erie Mason; Zach Brown, RB, Erie Mason; Shea Ruddy, QB, Whiteford; Chase Molnar, QB, Huron; Jacob Pac, RB, Airport

Joey Pizzo had a great game Friday night for GI - 177 yards on the ground - 2 TD's - 4 receptions - 61 yards and 260 all purpose yards.
I was at the SMCC game this past Saturday. Jondro had a heck of a game. It is hard to tell when he has the ball and when he is carrying out fakes. I suspect that Leslie will not let him rush for 230 yards like Southeastern did.
