Team Defense, Riverview. Undefeated Riverview put up a dominating defensive display as they held previously undefeated SMCC to 85 yards total offense. The Pirates recorded 2 sacks, 1 interception and 7 TFL’s as they took a 22-6 victory at Navarre Field. The Pirate defense has only given up 2 TD’s in the last 12 quarters of play.
Shea Ruddy, QB, Whiteford. Ruddy was a difference-maker as the Bobcats defeated Sand Creek 58-30 in a battle of top-ten teams. The junior ran for 116 yards and a touchdown and threw for 147 yards and two touchdowns
Tyler Conrad, RB, Bedford. Conrad turned in a game-changing performance, as the Mules came from behind to defeat Ypsilanti Lincoln 47-21. Conrad ran for 181 yards and two scores on 28 attempts, with both scores coming in the second half.
Isaac Smith, QB, New Boston Huron. Smith made plenty of plays for the Chiefs as they outlasted Airport 42-34. The senior rushed for 169 yards and two touchdowns, and also completed two passes for 37 yards and a score, which was to his little brother, Micah.
