Ida’s Owen Sampson has been named the Friday Night Victors Offensive Player of the Year. The speedy senior ran for 1,997 yards and 21 TD’s on the season and had another 200 yards in pass receiving with 1 TD. Sampson also returned punts and kick-offs for the 8-3 Bluestreaks.
Sampson was a unanimous LCAA first-team offensive selection and made the MHSFCA Division 6 All-Region and All-State teams. He also holds the Ida single-game rushing record with 333 yards.
