  1. Jefferson has got to step it up. Whats going on here? Offense very stagnant and predictable. There is no reading of what the defense is giving. Ever heard of taking a look at the D after they come to the line and calling a play in accordance with the defensive set. If that occurs, it sure doesn't seem like it. We run when the box is full, we pass when they got 6 D backs. Got to have some strategy here.

How bout an IPad with the football APP, you can really diagnose what other team is doing.
Come on guys. We maybe shouldn't be world beaters, but most of us are at least thinking .500.

There is film available for every team, they pick up our patterns, our substitutions. Other teams watch our films and know whats coming. Football takes more coaching than any other sport. Coaches meetings after practices to discuss game plans for upcoming opponent, previewing film before the team, to know what to discuss with them. I hope all these things already occur. I know they should. Somehow, with the team were putting on the field and the talent we have, I don't think this is happening. Time has to be put in way beyond the paycheck. Still a fan, always a fan.
    LETS GO BEARS !!!!

  2. I think the league has 5 nice teams. Not sure anyone said they were world beaters. CC, Riverview and Huron have a shot to win a couple playoff games each. Problem will be huron will play view in the playoffs by wk 2 for sure.

  3. I'm starting to think the Huron League is not as good as we all think. CC is highly ranked because they are playing all Class B teams in the league. But I think all the hype we all are giving the league will not go far after the league schedule ends. Especially when I hear how good Tecumseh supposedly was. I like the site and wish the Huron League the best, but I'm thinking they are all over rated this year. None of the games I have seen have been very overwhelming. Seen almost every team in league.

    1. Do you not remember CC the last couple years? Have had good playoff runs. Also, you can't tell if the league is truly down until postseason comes, if no team makes a playoff run, then it's safe to assume the league was down. In my opinion, I think this is the best the league has been since the 2011 season.

  4. Milan has 7 seniors and when they were sophomores you dropped their JV team. Karma is winning this battle because you left a lot of schools high and dry when you bailed at the last minute two years ago. You reap what you sow.

  5. Im proud of Flat Rock, they played hard. They seem to be putting together longer streaks of good football in the game.
Keep fighting Rams, your on the right track, just don't give up. Always fight and play for each other.

  6. Look. Milan has 7 seniors on this team. 3 that start. Everyone knew there would be growing pains this season for Milan. Not having Duffiny and Coville has really hurt them. They are competitive, but these young men are learning the hard way. That builds character and they will continue to improve. Bunch of hard working kids and they showed that coming back in the second half against a good Huron team.

  7. People questioning Milan's coaching after winning 20 games and two league titles the last two years. Maybe they just are not as good. Ever think of that. Hoskins and his staff are very good. I think most coaches in this league would agree after getting beat the last two years. Sounds like some disgruntled parents who's kids are not playing.

  8. LOL! How did I know someone would say Huron lost to a bad Milan team. . . But then some people are saying Milan is good but penalties are hurting them; but others are saying they're good but young….. can we make up our minds on this?

Here, let hell freeze over for a moment and let this phrase roll off your tongue.. "Huron is doing good".. I know some of you may fall over and die but hey…

  9. The difference maker was the pass game CC brought. Defense was solid as well. GI had answers to the run game. CC is the real deal. I can't wait for GI vs Riverview. It's going to be a great game.

  10. Total domination by CC defense – Grosse Ile had 60 yards of total offense and 7 first downs. I'm pretty sure 3 of them were from penalties. They barely crossed the 50. Props to GI, their defense held the CC offense kind of in check. Judd is a great player. I hope Mitroka can stay healthy, he got a little banged up. I would love it if all the HL teams made playoff runs.

  11. When Milan and GI lose, there aren't as many commentators. Time to stir things up. FR beats Milan. GI finishes in the bottom half. Huron bound to lose a game they shouldn't due to coaching. Losing teams blame penalties every week from now until the post season …. when they will be able to attend a winning team's game and see how the game should be played.

  12. milan looked awful, huron didn't impress me either, Milan had their back up QB in to much, and their defense adjustments looked terrible. Huron beat a declining milan team

    1. I agree since that dc left Milan its giving up way more than 13pts a game. Who is the dc now. Milan's Oc scanning for what…. destroys the offensive rhythm

  13. Milan is a young team. They will get better. People love to trash good programs on a down year. Just remember that they beat everyone in this league for two years straight.

    1. What good program the last two years look at this team and the jv when will people understand that your program works when you have the type of players that can make it work great coach's adjust

  14. For poos and giggles lets see if I can forecast. No harm meant

    1. SMCC. 9-0

    2. Riverview 8-1

    3. Huron 7-2

    4. GI 6-3

    5. Airport 3-6

    6. Milan 3-6

    7. Jefferson 1-8

    8. Flat Rock 0-9

I could be way off but after 4 games this seems very logical to me.

    1. Very good chance Airport gets to 6 wins. The offense is very good this year. The Tecumseh game looks more & more winnable, they got blownout by a 1-2 Lincoln team last night.

  15. I love how people on here plead innocent but then go on to show how guilty they are within the next 20 words.

GI and Huron are good teams. Both capable of winning playoff games.

Very good chance Huron and View meet up twice this year. Cant wait for that game.

  16. Let me just point this out. I know it goes both ways-all ways for that matter. But lately it seems most are coming on this web site to only talk smack after their team wins. I am a GI parent and thought the game last night was much closer than the score indicated. It was only 14-0 at the half and GI was driving just before the half until a very untimely sack was taken by Mitroka. SMCC is a very good team I was truly impressed. But I also thought most of the GI kids played with a lot of heart. SMCC won props to you, but if you don't your kids are sore this morning you are truly mistaken.

    1. G.I. never made inside the red zone. How do you consider yourself staying close playing between the 20's? If by "much closer than the score indicated" you mean "at least CC didn't score every time they had the ball." Then you would be right.

  17. What has happened to the really good running back that Milan had last year? I think he was a freshmen? Just have not heard anything about him this year. Is he playing or did he transfer somewhere? I thought Milan would be pretty good with him carrying the ball all year.

  18. Well since people only like to recall one post instead of scrolling I'll just put this here and move forward.

"Anyways, I had high hopes in Huron, and I still do. We lost to a team that played better. Congrats to CC and best of luck in the rest of your year. Until next years match up, I'll have zero comment to your future games lol"

Now, if you're going to attempt to call me into an argument, atleast make sure it's concrete on your end. As a alumni and huron fan, I of course am going to defend my team when I see multiple posts ragging them. And I did just that. But I also have enough sense to give credit when credit is due and CC was the better team as I said in that same thread. So as I said, til next year, CC Fans are irrelevant to me. 🙂 good day all!

  19. While I will give you Huron "imploded" by fumbling a punt and not catching the kickoff after it was drilled at the middle guy. However after those implosions CC drove 62 yards on 5 plays to score 2 Td's in 42 seconds. That's a WHOLE LOT OF IMPLODING.

  20. Huron fans never said they beat themselves. They simply stated said that Huron imploded with.49 seconds in the first half down 13-7. Every Huron fan I know thought SMCC was the better team. That simply isn't the case after what Milan fan wrote.

  21. for example

CC Fans can jack their jaws and say all they want but the game I saw was close. Defense stopped plays when they needed to and the offense out ran your defense when it came to it. You're not perfect at either side of the ball so don't claim that it was a blow out because Huron defense put up a hell of a fight this game. The offense was shakey and had some bad and terrible plays but I saw a defense stop you when they CONTAINED. Huron had opportunities and to those that weren't there. Up until the last 2 minutes of the 2nd half, it was a much closer game than CC will agree to. Score was 13-7. Huron fumbled a kick off giving CC the ball back and they scored within 30 seconds. Huron could've very well made that game a lot closer that it was but the defense gave up and so did the offense.. Huron contested and they gave it their all. And not a single one of you CC Fans can walk away saying they didn't give you a fight every time you came into the red zone. The score seems like a large margin but the battle on the field was more than the score shows..

sound a lot like what Im hearing from Milan now and Huron is taking exception.

  22. Now Huron fans, I remember some of you saying the same type of stuff when SMCC beat you 40-7 and racked up over 400 yards.

Especially KC, he went on and on about how Huron lost the game and not how cc won it.

    1. I guess that the great coach's at Milan did not win this game and the jv isn't looking that good neither I guess they will just have to get more D1 players from Lincoln

  23. What I took away from Milan-Huron was that Huron's defense is fast and disciplined. They strung out plays well. Milan has potential, but obviously turnovers can kill any hope. Good game to both teams

  24. Riverview the real deal. Hardest hitting team of the season. 4 Jefferson kids with concussions. 1 with stitches. Many helmets knocked off. They are for real folks.

  25. Milan gave them selves a chance to win cutting it to 21-14 in the 4th. They just make too many mistakes. Props to the Huron kids. A nice team. They are hard nosed and tough.

Approx. 10 to 15 penalty flags and 4 turnovers. You can't beat anyone when you do that. They are very young and starting 18 of 22 underclassman. However, this is varsity football. They need to grow up and fast. 14 turnovers the last three weeks. No one feels bad for them because of having low numbers and being young. If they can clean up the mistakes, they can be a good football team. But right now they are beating themselves.

    Milan Fan

  26. Flat Rock was in there for a half then gave up a crap score before half with about 30 seconds left. They r on the edge of getting that win, they got da bears next week

  27. Sorry about the poor updates tonight CoachTom48160. I was having wifi problems at the game.

Early penalties and turnovers hurt Milan early. Huon was the better team tonight. Devin Collins had a huge game for Huron with 3TD's catches and 2 Int's
    Hartwick played well.

    1. Milan keeps making mistakes that hurt bad. 4 turnovers again. Milan really is not bad, just playing bad. No doubt Huron is a good team. Not trying to take their thunder away cause they played a great game. On the other hand Milan has to find a way to play 4 quarters of solid football. I know these boys will take their licks and bounce back. They showed that tonight. They didn't quit. Good job Huron and keep plugging away Milan.
      Milan Dad

  28. I think we are going to be in for another thriller next week with Huron at riverview. Last years game was the craziest I've ever seen. Both teams have gotten better since then. Can't wait to watch it!
