  1. Gary I was unable to make it to the cc game yesterday. What you see? I have watched film but want to see what you saw first to compare.

    1. I haven’t seen any film and I miss a lot during the game.

Personally, I would have liked to see the ball in the air a bit more. Especially the 2nd drive in the 2nd half. Madison was REALLY selling out against the run.
I am sure Coach Kipf saw tons of mistakes and has plenty to work on. I thought the line would get a better push and would sustain it all game.

The brothers Bergmoser left a nice footprint on the game. We know what Wyatt can do(threw a TD,ran a TD kicked a fg) but Garrett seemed to be in the right spot at the right time. He was there to make at least 3 interceptions… dropping 2.

With 5 big time starters out for either the whole game or half, it was good to get players like, Garrett, Caden Smith, and a few others some valuable and meaningful playing time.

All in all I think it was a typical game 1.. much to work on. Most improtant thing is they are 1-0.

      1. I would agree with throwing the ball a little more. With Harrington back there now he has the arm and the passing ability to do so. He also stood in there and took some shots after delivering a perfect pass. Trap seemed to work well again as it almost always does. Morgan stood out as a more powerful runner with quicker cuts and moves. Cousino was excellent at LB shedding OL blocks and getting to the backfield. Dropping those picks will cost us late in the season when facing a View or Milan because they will be better than Madison. All in all, happy to see a win and a little revenge from 2017. Hope the kids can stay healthy and keep moving on with a big Airport matchup coming up since Airport has the hype now of beating Ida.

  2. Airport needs to learn to deliver the knockout punch. The score should’ve been a lot more lopsided than what it was. Airport would score to put the game away then they would let Ida right back in it. They won’t win many more games this year if that continues to happen. Keep your offense on the field longer to wear the other teams defense down! It’s high school football. Give the rock to your horse.

    1. Troll I agree, Airport had 2 empty possessions in the fourth quarter that could’ve put the game away. But they did come up with that big red zone stop with 4 minutes left. If Ida scores it’s a 5 point game and who knows how it turns out. Like most teams they have stuff to work on, but I’ll take a 13 point win road win against a good program any day.

      1. 70 yards in penalties for Airport – an already good SMCC will take 70 yards and hurt with you with it. If Airport can clean up a little, they can at least make a game of it next week. SMCC is gonna be tuff, 20 seniors on that team.

          1. Thank god nobody else elaborated on this comment. Years ago 20 people from Airport would’ve agreed with you. Ahhhhh……those were the days.

    1. 75% of people posting last year were anonymous. All they have to do is create another email account if they don’t want anyone to know who they are. I don’t think email address is shown anyhow.

    1. Chuck Lovingston

The way Flat rock lost yesterday is one in a million. It was 4th down in overtime, the quarterback throws the ball it gets batted by flat rocks d end, then the quarterback catches the ball and runs in for a TD to win the game.

  3. Adkins 1 yard td Airport 22 Ida 8 with 2 minutes till halftime. Blankenship hooked up with Raisanen on a huge pass play to set it up.
