Remax – The LaBeau Team Week 2 Player of the Week Nominees

Here are the nominees for the week 2 Player of the Week. There were numerous great performances around the FNV area, but these are the ones we chose. Go to our Twitter account @FNVictors to vote.

Cody Britt, RB Carlson, The senior turned in a huge performance by rushing for 207 yards and 6 TD’s in the Marauders 42-0 thrashing of Dearborn Edsel Ford.

Cooper Nye, QB, Airport. Nye put the “air” in Airport in a 35-0 win over Flat Rock. The sophomore went 12-14 for 198 yards and four touchdowns as the Jets retained “The Jug” for a fourth straight season.

Cole McElvany, QB, Milan. With the Big Reds trailing 13-7 at the half, McElvany put the team on his shoulders, as he threw the go-ahead touchdown pass, and also ran for a score in the second half. The senior finished with 253 total yards (128 rushing, 125 passing) in Milan’s 27-19 win over New Boston Huron

Garett Bergmooser, Blake Birkenhier, and Nico Bellino, RBs, SMCC. With top RB Cole Jondro out of action, the Falcons turned to the law firm of Bergmooser, Birkenhier, and Bellino to carry the load. The “B” trio combined for 306 of the Falcons’ 371 rushing yards, and three touchdowns in SMCC’s 41-6 win over Grosse Ile. Birkenhier also returned the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown, and Bergmooser also added a 30-yard reception.

  1. I bet you the airport players see smcc as as more of a rival and would rather beat them than flat rock if they could only beat one
