Airport @ Milan.

Airport (6-3) is coming off of a big win over Tecumseh 11-10. Milan beat Ypsi Lincoln 36-14 to wrap up an undefeated regular season. Milan defeated Airport 41-0 in week 8.

Many were surprised that Airport beat Tecumseh and qualified for the playoffs after looking mediocre most of the season. Milan hopes to continue their dream season. Pick: Milan 31 Airport 20

  1. Secret weapon. Game film and lots of motivation. No secret there. Live or die. Milan Big Reds pull it off at 14 to 7. Lots of dropped passes and penalties.

  2. Secret weapon comment is hilarious! I'm thinking if they had a secret weapon they may have attempted using it a little earlier in the season.

Or could it be that the secret weapon is sooo dangerous that it could only be used in extreme playoff situations?

I may witness something historic tonight! As long as they don't continue to keep their secrets to themselves!!!

  3. If it rains hard tonite, Airport can win this. I watched them play in a driving rain and they didn't miss a beat, very imprressive, rain didn't seem to be a factor for them. Passed a lot in the rain. Potcota/McCormick show.
We'll see, either way should be a great battle.

  4. Anybody can win, any weekend. Its a one game shootout and the team with the better game plan will win.
    Huron League, go get em!!

Whats a bloody nutter anyhow? Thats
    disgusting!!!

  5. I agree that this week should be closer, as Airport has had two weeks to review tape and make adjustments. If the game stays close, it could come down the the wire, but if Milan gets a lead and the opposition starts to worry about their season ending (see last week's game vs. Ypsi Lincoln), the final score could become lopsided again where the game itself was closer than the score implies.

I'm very glad that Milan was able to lock down a home game for it's fans (no reason to look ahead in the playoffs–it's always all about that week's opponent).

It may get cold and wet (surprise, surprise) but I'm still looking for a great turnout in the stands and along the fences tonight in Milan!

  6. I have checked every inch of this blog site and I am unable to find any requirements for fans of any school to put in their 2 cents or to trash talk a school or its fans. Milan was picked to finish last this year, they are the League Champs. Their fans did not trash talk or bad mouth any schools or their respective fans. This shows me that they are not only a great football team, but their fans are indeed good sports. If you ask me Mr 6:13 you might just learn a little from their example. As for next year, unless you have a time machine…..you dont know squat about it!

  7. "wow bloodynutter guess GI Milan and SMCC should just give up now"

Cant someone voice their opinion on a blog? I think that what they are here for.

  8. in all fairness to the Milan folk…. would you be a blog particpant if your team was as bad as milan was last year? I think they have been pretty good this year actually as far as not throwing their title in other peoples faces.

  9. Btw nice of all the Milan fans to show up on the blog this year. This blog has been around 3 years & until this year I don't ever recall any Milan fans on it. I will bet my bottom dollar they will all disappear next year when Milan falls to the middle of the league pack.

  10. Airport has proven nothing this year. Just a 6-3 record…ho hum. Just a few exciting 4th quarter stunners. Which Airport team shows up? Milan better not look ahead to game 2…and there is rain in the forecast. Oh dear!

  11. First of all I would like to say I am a neutral Fan – (remember me from last week.) I just like great HS football. And by the way thank you players for the great shows every week.I will have to predict that Milan will play at least for a shot @ Regionals and more in this years playoffs.Go get-em Big Reds you got what what it takes!& Make us Huron League Fans PROUD!!!

  12. Don't want to offend anyone, but I'm calling for another blowout. 35-0 Milan Wins. I will most likely be attending the GI game, mainly because it's the closest HL game to my home.

    view fan.

  13. If Airport's defense shows up as it did last week, they could make things interesting. Airport's secondary stepped it up about 5 notches compared to any other time this season. It just appears Milan is on another level, prove me wrong Jets!! EM
