  1. Blanket statements always make you look foolish.

A few bloggers do not represent a total fan base.

    For me, I represent myself

fans are fans – people are people, everywhere you go.

good luck to GI and SMCC

both are winnable in my opinion

  2. I only predict winners or losers…. I never ever have said I wont root for this and that team. little difference there.

I think you should go back and read what I said about Airport beating Milan.

Airport played sub par all year. Is that not the case? That, or they just werent as good as we thought they were.

I root for all HL teams come playoff time.

I wont root for them unless they root for us attitiude makes you sound like a baby. cant argue that.

  3. 10:21, thats nice.
2 teams still standing by the way

CC has created their own haters over the years. I am not one of them, but I am right in the middle of it. So any bashing you get is from folks that SMCC has left a bad taste with. Jealous, maybe some, but mostly the better than you attitude.

You notice on here CC has the most bashers. For many that is tough to get past, even in the playoffs.

  4. Wow ? Bloodynutter, who the heck are you?? You knock teams all over this thing, you give me crap for asking for universal support.
Get a life, you a politician or something.

I have praised all the playoff teams on here. Even CC. Just asking for it back. Where was all the praise for Airport?? You didn't stick up for them once, why so much for CC?? Airport had a down year, but DID make the playoffs and played very respectable at the end of the year.

Just bounce around on here and knock everybody, that will make the blog more succesful. ???

  5. RE:"Thats fine as long as SMCC comes out when the other schools are winning. Didn't see it last year when they didn't make playoffs.

I'm good with that, just goes both ways."

    What a ridiculous comment.

Be a man and applaud these young man and cheer them on. You sound like a little baby.

  6. Thats fine as long as SMCC comes out when the other schools are winning. Didn't see it last year when they didn't make playoffs.

I'm good with that, just goes both ways.

  7. I agree lets support the boys who are working hard to make their school, their parents, themselves and OUR community proud no matter what school they are from! GO GI and CC.

  8. Robichaid would have beaten CP. Football is a game of matchups. Robichaud was pretty small where CP was huge. Those qualities posed different match ups forGI. GI has really improved this season. I do believe they are playing their best football right now. I also think they are better than last season. They will see some more speed against DCDS and a D 1 QB too.

  9. Hey 8:21

I think Smcc has proven themselves to be a strong team year after year. And Just like all the other teams have great games and bad games good years and bad years. MIlan was a strong team this year as well maybe they had a bad week this week to. Cant you just be proud that at least one of our teams is still standing. Quit putting them down and cheer them on! I will say it was nice being at the game with so many other fellow schools like Monroe, Ida, Jefferson, Airport, Gabriel Richard, St Francis and yes even some Riverview kids the list can go on with the support the community showed to Smcc. Good Luck SMCC!

  10. GI ran all over DHR…only passed 2-3 times. It was sick!!

GI put up 70 (that's right 70) points in a playoff game on the ground. O line showed real discipline and skill against bigger kids (AGAIN!)….however the Christian/Nellenbach combo along with some great play calling were the key to torching DHR real BAD.

Chris & Nelly are truly a great "thunder/lightening" combo and compliment each other extremely well…on both sides of the ball.
(Certainly as good as Kish/Nelly last year, Better??? whuddya think Chris?)

The rest of the "Y" show was also very good offensively…obviously with a 70 spot. Can we all now agree that Mitty is the real deal?

GI D made plays (couple picks, couple sacks) but was much better last week. I think CP was a better team than DHR too. D will have to tighten up if GI expects to continue on…DUDEs (D with a Tude) need to make a better showing for sure. "O wins games, D wins Cham….."

All you "NO WAY will GI win" bloggermouths need to beg for forgiveness…the GI faithful will oblige ya!!

Please say it against CD too…I'll be here again to offer reconciliation!!

Good run Milan, Keep rollin' CC we got your 6.

  11. Let's see how cc does against a real opponet…consortium lost to riverview by 2 scores- no one seems to remember that, and collegiate was basically a jv team.

  12. Milan was a couple breaks away from being right in the game, the pick thrown at the end of the first half really killed momentum, and the fact that Tecumseh went right down the field on the first drive of the 2nd half to go up three scores kind of killed Milan's chances. That forced them to kind of get out to their game and do some different things that they aren't necessarily comfortable with. Credit to Tecumseh for being the first team this year to make Milan play out of their element, and I also think the fact that Milan doesn't see a competent spread passing attack all year hurts their chances. Great game by both teams, and great job by both programs for turning things around from the previous season. Huron League and SEC ball might not be loaded with the most talent on earth, but its always competitive football and its always fun to watch.

  13. Congrats SMCC! You have the whole Huron league rooting for you boys!

Great job MIlan! YOur community is so proud of you and your hard work! You are a class act team and cant wait til next year!

  14. Good job Milan boys. We are all proud of you! Hold your heads up. Looking forward to next year. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication. It was an exciting year.

  15. Milan just finally ran into a team with better athletes who were faster, stronger, and better coached than them. Everyone on Milan played their hearts out for their team.

  16. Milan players have a lot a reasons to smile and be proud of this special season. It was high school football at its best for those guys.

  17. Darius Phillips from Robichaud was easiest the best player I have seen this year. Extremely small but definitely a sub 4.5 guy.

GI's offense must have rolled up 500 or 600 yards on the ground. It was awesome to watch. I sat on the Robichaud side and listened to them scream tackle #7, then Nellenbach (#4) would run the other way. GI's staff made some nice adjustments after falling behind 14-0 early.

  18. Tecumseh was a better team tonight. Picked on Milan's DBs with a lot of quick posts and drags. Milan had two nice drives, first one scored but just before half they threw an interception going into the end-zone. After that, they never got to the red-zone again.

Both teams played well. Game over early…about 8:45…lots of runs and the clock ran. So each teams possessions were limited.

Both teams stopped the others' run game. In the end it was a better passing attack showing superiority over a good running attack.

  19. Congrats to Tecumseh on the win. They were better in all three phases of the game: offense, defense, special teams. Their coaching was better. Their fans were louder.

Even their band was better. 🙂

    Clearly their night. Congrats.

Congrats as well to Milan for giving me such an unexpected treat week after week this season. More on that at a later time, as tonight is a night to salute the victorious Indians and hope they knock off quite a few more teams before all is said and done.

  20. Big Reds have 2nd down week in a row…? Or did they finally run in to a few teams that wanted it more? Tecumseh looked pretty good, running and passing. People at the game told me the loss 2 weeks ago woke them up. Looked to be true.

  21. DC can't stop SMCC's offense. SMCC made some nice defensive key plays to stop DC. SMCC 27 DC 12 with 3:12 to play. SMCC. to kick off.
