  1. Riverview summed up in 1 word: FLAT. Coaches, offense, defense. Just flat. No fire at all from the sideline or the players. Yes, it was hot, but Airport showed up to play football.

  2. That QB waggle play must have worked for Redman last night. 285 yards passing from the same offense Airport runs. I guess Barber did take the advice and bury all the passing plays in that cornfield just south of the football field!

  3. So Barber thinks it's a good idea to wait until someone stops the run before he starts calling pass plays. By the looks of it most teams won't be able to stop the running game so does that mean they should waste Potcova's talented arm?

  4. Exactly what I was talking about after the Bedford game.Barber needs to start letting him air it out more. When you have a QB like that how can you only let him throw once?

Again, the defensive end play is shakey. Riv only score was due to lack of containment by the corners/DE's. If the play is turned in then there are 10 others to clean up. If I played Air next week I would test those ends.

I agree that the running game is great and I predicted that it would be more productive than last year. Team is better because of fewer distractions and 3-4 able backs. Airport will need that passing game to beat the teams who will shut down the running game. Last night was an excellent time to keep the passing game fresh. Why the lack of confidence in the passing game??

  7. bn, Jefferson killed themselves with penalties. It was their game to win but had no discipline. You can't win giving up that many yards with penalties.

  8. Jones and Shumake are good but what's going on with the passing game? All the hype about Potcova and he only passed 1 time??? He threw more last year as a sophomore with Mays running the ball.

  9. Outside of Riverview's long TD run on the 1st drive, Airport's D could not have played better. The front 7 lived in Riverview's backfield. Jones and Shumake are a heck of a one two punch in the backfield. EM
