Milan at Huron

Milan is off to a surprising 2-0 start after defeating Jefferson last week 38-14. Huron fell to 1-1 after losing to SMCC last week 32-22. The Chiefs won last year’s meeting between these two teams 26-21 on a Joe Coffee TD catch in the games final seconds.

Milan has been riding a balanced offensive attack behind QB Justin Aceves and RB Arthur Dukes. The Big Reds appear capable of scoring in bunches but the defense has yet to be tested.

Huron showed a balanced offense last week with three different backs getting carries and QB Zach Schlarb airing out when neccessary. The defense will need to get better this week if they hope to contain Dukes.

Tough to tell where these two teams are based on the schedule but both teams appear to be pretty solid. Huron won a thriller last season. Look for this game to be somewhat high scoring. Pick: Milan 30 Huron 28

  1. Milan might just be the surprise this year.

Maybe the Machine got an oil change we don't know about and it's hitting on all cylinders.

Somebody is for real in this one…my gut tells me Milan.

I'll rethink this one if Huron rolls…then they're the player and Milan the poser (engine needs MOH).

  3. Go get em Chiefs! Play hard, score early, don't leave it to the last few seconds this time. What an exciting way to win though, good hands Joe Coffee!! (The ball should have hit those sticky hands a lot more last year.) Looking forward to a win.

  4. I believe the only reason Huron won last year was due to the HUGE penalty that Milan received for excessive celebrating. This should be a great game. Both teams have a lot to prove this week.
