Word is Consortium had 4 critical kids sitting when they played Riverview. They are supposed to be back for playoffs. Not sure of the impact, but SMCC-Consortuim game could be closer than you think.

Unimpressed with the small crowd at Grosse Ile Friday. Lots of other GI teams moving on ie Soccer, Volleyball, Cross country. Coaches and parents don't want these kids out in the cold drizzle. Same reason the Football team won't be in Mason to support soccer tonight.

Unlike many on the GI side, I was impressed with UM recruit Csonte' York. As was I, GI had to change their game to defend him. I thought he was terrific, just a bit of a baby.
What game should I go to this week? Milan/Tecumseh should be a great game. Save SMCC for next week.
eddings has been a beast from his days playing little league for the romulus flyers . holds two middle school records . 15 tackles most in a game and 56 most in a season .

Milan v Tecumseh should be a really entertaining game because it will be a battle of similar teams. I don't know exactly what offense the Indians run, but I know their QB gives them a very dangerous balance to their offense.
Will the improved weather help one side more than the other?
I give the Big Reds slight advantages in rushing offense and overall defense and I'll give the Indians a slight advantage in the passing game until I see Milan receivers hang onto the ball this week.
Also, I'm looking for a better week from the coaching staff on the offensive side of the ball. Early on in last week's game, it looked like the coaches were trying to not put much on the tape. They really stayed away from Dukes, as if Tecumseh couldn't get their hands on some season stats and see that both Dukes and Kanitz had a bunch of carries this season. Arthur Dukes III is a lot of things, but he's no secret weapon.
In fact, one of the reasons for Milan's success on offense was because defenses so often keyed on Dukes and allowed Kanitz's running and the overall passing game to be effective. Later in games, Dukes would rip off at least one monster run and by the end of the game his stat line would be very solid.
The coaching staff needs to allow the offense to do what needs to be done in the moment and worry about the next game the next week.
As I've said before, it's much better to learn these lessons in victory than in defeat.

Eddings is probably the best thing that msmcc defense has had in quite a while.
I called it before the playoffs-SMCC will go the furthest. Milan has a good shot at winning-just keep playing the way you have been and finish the long drives this week. GI will lose by at least 20.
Central will pull them inside the phonebooth and pound them wear it hurts I would think. Its usually about defense, they played it last week and hopefully can do the same.
Home game with dark unis, muddy field, dingy lights.. another perfect situation for "hide the hoagie" ball.
Obviously I know that but somebody is on here saying that Consortium is too big and fast for SMCC. That is simply not the case as Riverview showed against them in week 9.
You must respect every opponent come playoff time. Getting too caught up in the who beat who thing is a mistake. Yes view beat Consortium but I not sure you can learn much from looking at just one game. All 3 teams will have thier hands full, that you can be sure of. Hopefully they can all advance.
GI ranked 7th – Robichaud ranked 15th in state by Max Preps.
Before this weeks updated ranking Calpreps has the score of GI 24 Robichaud 26
Massey has the score of GI at 28 – Robichaud 21
Grosse Ile will have their hands full but I belive that Chandler Park has more talent then Robichaud. It will be a great game with Grosse Ile pulling it off.

Consortium is too athletic for cc to hang. Big lineman and speed to boot.
GI gets beat by 20, Robichaud will just be too much.
Milan I thought would lose to Chelsea but beat Tecumseh. So beat the Indians it is.
Some comments we must just ignore. That being said, SMCC has the best chance of moving on. They will blow out Consortium even though they have some big time linemen over there.
Milan will beat Tecumseh even though the Indians will have the edge with a veteran coach. The Big Reds have more talent, period.
GI can win their game but will have their hands full with Robichaud. The Bulldogs have some nice, nice wins including a victory over Dearborn.
Feel free to come and watch Milan. Either win or lose they playing Friday night and you will be sitting in the stands complaining about something. That is what losers who live through their kids do! Get you own life?
I've watched both Chandler Park and Robichaud in person this season, and I thought that Robichaud was better. I'm not going to say that GI doesn't have a chance but they'll have to play another good game.
The first poster is being silly. Just because you don't like Milan doesn't mean that they won't win. It's my guess they couldn't name a single player on Tecumseh's team.
But if I were to go to a game, it would be Milan vs. Tecumseh. Ben Dreslinski, T-Town's Q, will be worth the price of admission.

I was more impressed with…. Both teams #55s, CPs #6 and how GI basically shut down the UofM recruit (other than the TD play which was a great call not really a player thing.)

CC or GI to see a win, Milan will lose but I might go just to see that.
