  1. I coached a kid named Justin Goretski in grade school. He was tough as nails. He would be a soph. Is he up on varsity?

    -bn

  2. Mckay is not the best lineman in the league, up there but not the best. I would argue Girt from airport or Gilliam from GI

  3. He would have started at Milan as QB for his jr and sr year. That staff would make him a college football player. And won a state title in b ball getting playing time. The kid is good. Feel bad he has to play at Huron

  4. A transfer is a transfer. Milan had a starting qb for his soph and jr. year. Just embrace it he is a transfer that plays qb and basketball he was maybe just trying to improve his playing opportunity. Nothing wrong with that

  5. The Hartwick kid left because he wasn't gonna start at QB over Kanitiz. Sorry but it's the truth. He is a good kid. Hope he has a great year. Very good athlete.

Huron could make the playoffs because of their cupcake non conference schedule. However, they will have to run the table after starting 1-3. Beating GI, SMCC, or Milan is just not gonna happen. All 3 of those coaching staffs will put a hurt on Huron even though they will probably be more or just as talented.

  6. HARTWICK'S FAMILY MOVED INTO THE HURON DISTRICT. HIS BROTHER IS THE WALLACKER KID ON THE LINE, ALSO A JUNIOR.

  7. Huron will be good on the o-line. McKay is the best lineman in the league. If the defense plays better they will challenge for the league title.

  8. Huron will be out coached like usual. Their schedule does them no favors as they have to play the best 3 teams in the league in 3 straight weeks.

They were just as big and strong last year. I would say overall they were just as good talent wise. The Hartwick kid transferred from Milan so he could start at QB as a Sophomore. That didn't work out so well for dad. They he the most talent in the league last year along with Riverview and couldn't do anything with it. Nothing will change.

  9. Huron's line will be big. Best lineman is probably Little Krug. Small but quick and strong. The rest of the line is really big. McKay is 6-1 255, Vukas is 6-3 230, Wallacker 6-2 205 and Midkiff 6-5 265. All are pretty strong. Most likely zone blocking for Hartwick and Robinson.

    1. Not trying to talk smack but why is Huron thought of so highly? Their defense is suspect and they lost a HUGE weapon at WR. The QB is dangerous running not throwing. Unless they have a great offensive line i just don't see what the hype is about.

  10. I wrote the 11:34 comment and I'm not a Airport guy. I happen to think Baas is a sharp guy and a good coach. I happen to think some of the worst coaches have had the most talent and done little with it in the past few years. He made some 1st year mistakes. Redmond was 3-6 his first year people. Airport has a lot of talent this year with good coaching. John van wash was the DC with Redmond it's not like he's forgot a lot. The team that's going to let everyone down is Riverview.

    1. Here's this joker again that has Airport winning 1 or 2 games. Sorry that Airport beat your team when you were in school hater.

  11. I've said before that Brinson, Meiring & McGrath makeup the best group of RB's in the league (not counting CC). Brinson might be a better defensive player though. I expect Eddie Smith to be a beast on the Dline. EM

  12. Everyone is sleeping on Airport. They have their whole O and D line back along with backs likle Brinson, McGrath and Meiring. If they get solid QB play and some young kids step up it could be a 6-3, 7-2 year for the Jets. On paper they're better than Milan, Jefferson, FR, Riverview…

    1. Their O and D lines were not very good last year. Just because they are a year older doesn't make them a year better.
