Milan is coming off of a solid 9-3 season which saw the Big Reds finish in second place in the Huron League and a berth in the Division 4 Regional Final. The Big Reds were decimated by graduation, but return two of the best offensive players in the league.
The Milan offensive will be led by senior QB Demetrius Barnes and senior RB Trace Lindeman. Together the dynamic duo combined for over 3,800 yards of offense and 48 TD’s. The numbers will be tough to duplicate with only one other starter back from the offense. Look for two-way lineman Michael Furtney to be a force on both sides of the ball.
The Big Reds will be counting on numerous players to step up and play both ways. Look for contributuions from seniors Kyle Ranson and Gabe Aceves along with juniors Justin Beck and Ben Pyle. Freshman Tristin Hines is expected to start defensively for the Big Reds.
Like most schools in the league this year depth could be a problem for Milan, but if they can avoid injuries they could be in a good position to win the league for the first time since 2013. The Big Reds will host Adrian on Friday. Prediction: 5-2 League, 7-2 Overall
If Fleck stays at WMU that would be a great opportunity!
Awesome attitude as always, #9 Dad. I'm looking forward to the Big Red boys doing us proud all season long, starting on Friday.
Good to hear #9 Dad. Best of luck. EM
Well said #9 dad
Thanks, EM AND Coach Tom. I'm looking forward to his senior year as well. Can't help to glance at what's next. We have a REALLY good idea where he is going, just nothing final yet. Coach Hoskins does an awesome job at making kids be more productive and he really does a great job with kids who have talent and making them better.
I have been trying to get Chris to one of the home games for a few years now, so Chris, your more than welcome, you can sit with me in the booth. Best seat in the house!

Great 1-2 punch in the backfield. Hey #9 Dad who's recruiting your son? With that speed I know he'll be playing on Saturdays. EM
There are several schools recruiting him. He has 3 that he has narrowed it down to. I don't know if it would hurt his chances if I announced it now or not. I will tell you 3 MAC schools are, a hand full of GLEAC schools, and a bunch of D 3 schools. I mean a bunch.
There was a certain school down south I was hoping for, some guy from Michigan coaches there, and the school colors are the best color of orange you could possibly look at, but got nothing from them . Lol
In all honesty, I don't care where he goes, I just want him to like it, feel at home, and get a degree. No one can take that away from him once he earns it.

Wow the first game days are getting close. Good Luck to all of the Huron League Teams this week. Good luck to you Chris as well with your first week picks. I am sure you will get alot of feedback. Thanks for what you do.
Huron League Fan.
Milan wI'll surprise a bunch of people this year. There is no doubt they can win the league. So could Huron and in my opinion Airport. Match ups are key. We will struggle with some teams, how much we struggle will be decided on how bad they want it.
DCD was a good team that Milan could have beat. The Defense will always be the key for Milan in my opinion. As with most teams.
It's going to be exciting for sure.

They got ran over by SMCC last year when Milan had a great team. I assume you see that changing. You are most likely right.
